-
Food coloring (multiple colors for rainbow effect)
-
Glitter (optional, for extra sparkle)
-
Glow-in-the-dark pigment or paint powder
-
Mixing bowls & spoons
-
Airtight container for storage
Step-by-Step Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare Glue Base
Pour 1 cup of glue into a mixing bowl.
2️⃣ Add Baking Soda
Add 1 tsp baking soda to the glue and stir well — this helps the slime form.
3️⃣ Add Color & Glow
-
Divide glue into smaller bowls for multiple colors.
-
Add food coloring to each portion for rainbow colors.
-
Add glow-in-the-dark powder to one portion for the glow effect.
-
Optional: sprinkle in glitter for extra sparkle.
4️⃣ Activate Slime
Add 1–2 tbsp of contact lens solution to each bowl gradually. Stir slowly — the mixture will start to pull away from the sides and form slime.
5️⃣ Knead the Slime
Take it out of the bowl and knead with your hands until smooth and stretchy.
6️⃣ Combine Colors (Optional)
For rainbow slime, gently press different colored slime portions together — don’t overmix to keep the swirl effect.
7️⃣ Test & Stretch
Stretch, pull, and squish the slime — film in slow motion for satisfying visuals. Show normal slime vs glow-in-the-dark under a dark background to wow viewers.
8️⃣ Store Properly
Keep slime in an airtight container when not in use to prevent it from drying out.
